Society’s progress is key for international relations worldwide. Long range economic growth and reduction of poverty and inequality in Latin America and the Caribbean depend mostly on sustainable economic, financial, environmental, social and institutional strengthening.

The world is watching the empowerment of cities and regions due to a sustained reduction of fossil fuels versus options of renewable energy.

TRANSPARENCY
CITIZEN SECURITY

Residents of the city, region, country and Latin America in general show dissatisfaction with the economic and political systems of their countries. There are high levels of frustration with democracy, their institutions, corruption, and the sense of lack of urban and rural safety which is intrinsic to the feeling of the social and economic future of the population.

In order to build societies that are more satisfied, is necessary to work simultaneously on two basic premises: the strengthening of justice and the economic development of each city, region and country within a holistic integration strategy and regional insertion.

INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS AND
CITY DIPLOMACY

Regions, and mostly cities, are becoming more relevant in international relations because as subjects of International Law, along with their citizens, cities are taking the lead and influencing the future of diplomacy. The City diplomacy is being more and more effective than national diplomacy. Today, national governments makes supranational strategic decisions that are taking place by cities or local actors even if the countries do not agree at all.

RENEWABLE ENERGY AND
ELECTRIC MOBILITY

Climate is definitively impacting people’s lives as well as the environment, reason why we want to find innovative business models to support Latin America and the Caribbean productive sectors to improve their own resilient climate and leverage new growth opportunities related to their businesses through sustainable productivity.

Will look for international technical assistance by means of different best practices to promote and adapt to climate impact and alternate mobility such as electric and solar among others.

SOCIAL INCLUSION AND
FOOD SAFETY

Food safety consists of the physical, economic and permanent ability to access sufficient amounts of safe and nutritious food for normal growth and development to attain an active and healthy life. The idea is to present proposals to the international allies and thus, help to overcome the lack of food safety in the city, the region, and somehow, the country as well. Additionally, promote all kinds of social inclusion whether by genre, ethnicity or origin among others, to be active and productive members of the community.

STRATEGIC BUSINESS PROJECTS

The Center for Strategic International Studies MG wants to promote an exchange of views and perspectives on pressing economic, social & innovation issues of our times among world leaders, renowned experts, and business executives. We will facilitate agreements, offer share knowledge, and provide access to unique insights from leading specialists.

MG-CEIE facilitates domestic and international business relationships between local and international entrepreneurs to identify synergies with potential strategic partners and allies in the private sector through direct contact and/or event participation.

Alliances for the New Generations

Medellin Global supports the development of research regarding public and private policies in order to find solutions to various concerns from both local communities and other countries. These findings become action plans to be implemented in different locations and always, with metrics to ensure their proper execution.

Our core value as human beings is to build a better world for ourselves and for others, and this can only be attained by commitment, responsibility, goals and a positive attitude.

MG provides a way for local, regional, national and international communities to work hand on hand for the wellbeing and future of humanity. We believe that the best way to reach our goals is through empathy within our own community and all of the different societies around the world.

MG aspires to foster tolerance and understanding of the different urban cultures in the world preserving cultural identity, promoting diversity, health and wellbeing amongst all actors of this international concert, as well as promoting cooperation with other international non-profit organizations and leaders to support the global network.

Additionally, establishes joint actions with other domestic and international organizations, public and private, to share knowledge as well as to participate in different projects and city labs of interest to different fields.
