Under Moreno’s leadership, the IDB expanded its programming and funding, becoming the leading source of development financing for Latin America and the Caribbean. Among his greatest contributions is helping to strengthen the relationship with the private sector as a critical partner in reducing poverty and improving services in the region.\nMarcelo Claure, one of the top technology entrepreneurs and business leaders in the world, made waves in 2019 launching the $5 billion SoftBank Innovation Fund (SIF), the largest-ever technology fund focused exclusively on the Latin American market. Last year, the IDB and SoftBank partnered to enhance support to startups and the innovation ecosystem in Latin America, jointly contributing to create some of the most important business success stories in the region.\nAs the region faces enormous opportunities to transform markets through the power of technology, this conversation will showcase two pioneers who are leading the efforts to make this a reality.\n
